Ideal weight formulas

| WHO range (BMI) | Weight corresponding to a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9 |
| Devine | Medical formula based on height |
How is ideal weight calculated?
Our calculator uses the Lorentz formula, one of the best known, which adjusts weight for height and sex. Alongside it, it shows your healthy weight range: the range of weights corresponding to a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 for your height.
Ideal weight or healthy weight for you?
The theoretical ideal weight does not take your muscle mass or build into account. Your comfortable healthy weight (the one where you feel well and healthy) may differ. See these figures as reference points, not absolute targets.
