Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 150 g mixed berries
- 200 ml milk or plant-based milk
- 1 pot of yoghurt (optional)
Method
- Put all the ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Adjust the thickness with a little more liquid.
- Serve straight away, well chilled.
Nutritional benefits
Blended whole, fruit keeps its fibre (unlike juice), which smooths out blood sugar and keeps you full. With a banana and berries, this smoothie is packed with vitamins and antioxidants, with no added sugar.
Variations and swaps
- Green (spinach, kiwi, apple).
- High-protein (Greek yoghurt or whey).
- With coconut milk (tropical).
- Smoothie bowl (thicker, eaten with a spoon, with toppings).
Storage and making ahead
Drink it straight away to make the most of the vitamins; it keeps for a few hours in the fridge.
💡 Good to know
Use frozen fruit (sliced banana, berries): it thickens and chills the smoothie without watering it down like ice cubes.
