The short answer
Studies on oral hyaluronic acid use 120 mg a day for twelve weeks. All the products compared exceed this dose. The price per gram ranges from 1.39 EUR at Nat&Form in the three-month format to 4.15 EUR at Novoma (recorded on 27/10/2026). Dynveo (3.01 EUR) does not contain hyaluronic acid in the chemical sense: it is a mushroom extract. Evidence of effectiveness exists, but rests on a few small trials run by a manufacturer.
The ranking, at the price per gram
| Brand and format | Per capsule | Form | Price | Price per gram | Cost per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nat&Form, 90 capsules | 350 mg | sodium hyaluronate, with vitamins C and B2 | 43.90 EUR | 1.39 EUR | 0.49 EUR |
| Nat&Form, 30 capsules | 350 mg | sodium hyaluronate, with vitamins C and B2 | 20.90 EUR | 1.99 EUR | 0.70 EUR |
| Nutri&Co, 60 capsules | 180 mg | sodium hyaluronate ExceptionHYAL Star | 24.90 EUR | 2.31 EUR | 0.42 EUR |
| Dieti Natura, 60 capsules | 105 mg, 2 a day | hyaluronic acid, with marine collagen, vitamins C and E | 14.95 EUR | 2.37 EUR | 0.50 EUR |
| Dynveo, 60 capsules | 160 mg stated | tremella extract, a mushroom | 28.90 EUR | 3.01 EUR | 0.48 EUR |
| Novoma, 60 capsules | 100 mg, 2 a day | sodium hyaluronate ExceptionHYAL Star, with vitamin C | 24.90 EUR | 4.15 EUR | 0.83 EUR |
What this table tells us
All the doses exceed those in the studies
The two most cited trials used 120 mg a day. The products compared range from 160 to 350 mg. A higher dose has not been shown to be more effective. The useful criterion is therefore the cost per day, and there Nutri&Co comes out ahead at 0.42 EUR, although it is only third on price per gram: its capsule is lower in dose, and that is enough.
Dynveo’s « plant-based hyaluronic acid » is not hyaluronic acid
Dynveo sells an extract of Tremella fuciformis, the snow fungus, an edible mushroom, under the GreenIuronic brand, and displays it as 160 mg of hyaluronic acid per capsule. The scientific literature describes this mushroom’s polysaccharide as a glucuronoxylomannan, a molecule with a different structure from hyaluronic acid. It may have its own properties, but the studies on oral hyaluronic acid do not apply to it, and comparing it per gram only makes sense with that reservation.
Novoma: the same hyaluronate as Nutri&Co, with vitamin C, at twice the price per day
Novoma uses the same ExceptionHYAL Star sodium hyaluronate as Nutri&Co, at 200 mg a day in two capsules, with 100 mg of vitamin C. At 24.90 EUR for 60 capsules (recorded on 27/10/2026), that works out at 0.83 EUR a day, twice the cost of Nutri&Co, and 4.15 EUR a gram. The pack of three bottles brings it down to 0.75 EUR a day.
Compound formulas complicate the picture
Nat&Form adds vitamin C and B2, Dieti Natura marine collagen and vitamins C and E. These additions are not useless in themselves, but vitamin C can be bought for a few pence, as our vitamin C comparison shows, and 100 mg of collagen is very far from the 5 g a day recommended for the skin. Our marine collagen comparison gives the useful doses.
What the studies say
The 2017 trial followed 60 Japanese adults for twelve weeks at 120 mg a day: crow’s feet wrinkles decreased compared with placebo from eight weeks, with a hyaluronic acid of molecular weight 300,000. The 2021 trial, on 40 adults, measured an improvement in wrinkles, hydration and skin elasticity. In both cases, several authors are employees of Kewpie, a hyaluronic acid manufacturer, which the articles declare. The results are encouraging, but they rest on small numbers and on the same manufacturer.
Our verdict
If you want to try it, aim for a dose close to that of the studies and a true sodium hyaluronate, for at least eight to twelve weeks, the timeframe of the trials. On cost per day, Nutri&Co is the most attractive, with a formula with no additions. Nat&Form in the three-month format is the cheapest per gram, with a dose almost three times higher than in the studies. Skin hydration also depends on the water you drink: our guide to choosing your water returns to it.
