  • 70 €Price per month
  • noneDoses published
  • 2.1 / 5Trustpilot rating

In summary

PhenQ costs 70 EUR a month and publishes the dose of no ingredient, not even the caffeine. Its headline figure comes from a document from its supplier, its testimonials change first name from one country to another, and it scores 2.1 out of 5 on Trustpilot. We advise against it.

The short answer

PhenQ is the most expensive fat burner in our price checks, at 70 EUR a month, and the least transparent: its page gives the dose of none of its ingredients, not even the caffeine. Its headline figure, 7.24% less body fat, comes from a document from its supplier, not from a published study. Its testimonials change first name and country from one version of the site to another. On Trustpilot, it scores 2.1 out of 5 with 44% one-star reviews. We advise against it.

What the page does not say

No doses published

PhenQ lists its ingredients: α-Lacys Reset, a blend of alpha-lipoic acid, cysteine and magnesium, Capsimax chilli powder, chromium picolinate, caffeine, nopal, L-carnitine, a ginseng and astragalus blend, B vitamins and iodine. But no quantity is given on the page. So there is no way of knowing whether the doses match those in the studies cited, or how much caffeine you are swallowing. The brand only advises avoiding taking it after 3 pm.

A headline figure that does not come from a published study

The page announces 7.24% less body fat and 3.44% less weight with α-Lacys Reset. Its own list of sources points, for this result, to a PDF from Principium, the ingredient’s manufacturer, dated 2014. We found no study on α-Lacys Reset in PubMed. Meta-analyses on alpha-lipoic acid, which PhenQ also cites, find on average 1.27 kg more than a placebo, an effect the authors themselves describe as small.

The same testimonials, under other names

On phenq.com, « Taiylah P., 21 » says she lost 44 pounds in three months after a cruise where she could not fit on her chair, having chosen the 2+1 bundle. On phenq.fr, the same story, translated, is signed « Chantal P., 21 », 20 kg. Likewise, « Ghislain R., 31 » becomes « Andre R., 31 ». A testimonial that changes first name depending on the country has no value as evidence.

Dangerous promises

The French page leads with « I lost 72 kg in three months », which is more than 5 kg a week. Such a loss is nowhere near a healthy goal, and no supplement produces it. The brand itself writes, further down, that you should expect « about 1 kg a week ».

No slimming claim is authorised for these plants

In the European Union, a supplement can only claim an effect on weight if the claim appears in the European register. For caffeine, guarana, green tea or green coffee, the applications were examined by EFSA and none was authorised: the link with weight loss was not judged to be established. The few authorised claims concern other ingredients, such as konjac glucomannan, at 3 g a day as part of a calorie-restricted diet.

Customer reviews

On Trustpilot, on 24/09/2026: 2.1 out of 5 across 1,064 reviews, of which 44% are one star and 36% five stars. Only 29 reviews date from the last twelve months. The brand replies to 91% of negative reviews. It is based in Glasgow, in the United Kingdom.

Our verdict

We advise against PhenQ. At 70 EUR a month, you are buying a formula whose doses you do not know, sold with unpublished figures and recycled testimonials. The two other products we have reviewed, Miniweight and Brûlafine, at least publish their composition, without being effective for all that.

How we put this review together

We have not tested this product and we do not claim to. Prices, composition and sales claims were taken on 24/09/2026 from the brand’s official website; the studies it cites, where it cites any, were checked in PubMed. To lose weight lastingly, start with our guide to losing weight healthily.
