Tips
5.1 g of protein: the best score among the desserts in this aisle. The eggs and milk in the flan batter contribute directly.
22.1 g of sugars, though. It is the sweetest in this aisle. A 120 g portion provides 26 g of sugars, the equivalent of five sugar cubes.
Homemade, the sugar can be halved. The fruit already provides some, and the batter sets without it. It is the most effective adjustment for this dessert. See our light cherry clafoutis.
Cherry stones are the tradition. They release an almond flavour as it bakes. Warn your guests, and avoid them with young children.
It contains eggs, milk and gluten. Three allergens in a dessert that looks simple: the ingredients list confirms this on shop-bought versions.
