Black grapes
Black grapes owe their colour to anthocyanins concentrated in the skin, the same pigments that give red wine its colour and some of its compounds. Muscat, Alphonse Lavallée: there are many table varieties.

Tips
15.3 g of sugars: it is the sweetest fresh fruit in this batch. A 150 g portion provides 23 g of sugars, the equivalent of five sugar lumps. That is not a problem in itself, but grapes are easy to snack on without counting.
Its anthocyanins are in the skin. Do not peel it, and avoid seedless varieties if you are after polyphenols: the seeds concentrate a large share.
Resveratrol is no reason to drink wine. The doses used in studies are nowhere near what a glass provides, and the alcohol largely cancels out the supposed benefit. The whole grape is a much better vehicle.
Wash them carefully. The vine is one of the most heavily treated crops: grapes regularly top the pesticide residue surveys. Rinse for a long time, or buy organic.
They no longer ripen after picking. Choose firm berries, well attached, with the bloom (that natural white film) intact. It is the sign of fruit that has been little handled.
