Ingredients

Method

  1. Fry the onion, the meat (or vegetables) and the spices.
  2. Cut the brik sheets into strips and place a spoonful of filling at one end.
  3. Fold into successive triangles.
  4. Brush with a little oil and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C, turning halfway through.

Nutritional highlights

Baked rather than fried, samosas do not soak up frying oil: you keep the crunch while cutting the fat. The vegetable or lean meat filling and the spices make for a tasty, sensible bite.

Variations and substitutions

  • Vegetarian (potato and pea).
  • With chicken.
  • With tuna.
  • With vegetables and cheese.

Storage and making ahead

Keep for 2 days and reheat in the oven; they can be frozen raw and then baked straight from frozen.

💡 Good to know

Use just a brush of oil before baking: a thin layer is enough to brown and crisp them like deep-fried ones, without the oil bath.
