Nutritional benefits

Variations and substitutions

  • With shredded chicken instead of tuna.
  • With prawns.
  • Vegetarian: avocado and vegetables.
  • Spicier: more chilli.

Storage and making ahead

Keeps for 2 days in the fridge; it can be made ahead (it is served cold).

💡 Good to know

Yellow chilli paste (ají amarillo) gives the causa its colour and flavour; if you cannot find it, a little turmeric and mild chilli imitates it.
