Variations and substitutions
- With dried fruit (cranberries, raisins) or seeds.
- Without protein powder: replace with milk powder or more oats.
- With almond butter, and no chocolate to lighten them.
- Softer: add blended dates.
Storage and making ahead
Keep for a week in the fridge and freeze well. Wrap them individually for your gym bag.
💡 Good to know
Press the mixture down very firmly: this is the key to bars that do not crumble. Enough time in the fridge firms them up.
