Tips

Lower in fat but higher in sugar than the coffee version. 8.27 g of fat against 9.8 g, but 21.7 g of sugars against 19.5 g. The fruit preparation swaps part of the cream for sugar.

220 kcal per 100 g portion. Slightly less than a coffee tiramisu, though the gap is not decisive.

1.39 g of fibre: the fruit contributes a little. This is the only real nutritional advantage of this version.

Homemade, fresh fruit beats a coulis. Whole red fruits provide fibre and vitamin C without the added sugar of a commercial fruit preparation.

The same caveat applies to raw eggs. The traditional mascarpone cream contains them: if homemade, it is not recommended for pregnant women and young children.
