Variations and substitutions
- With smoked salmon for a quick version.
- With trout or mackerel.
- With peas or courgettes.
- Gluten-free: use gluten-free pasta.
Storage and making ahead
Keeps for 2 days and can be eaten hot or cold. Reheat with a little water.
💡 Good to know
Lemon zest gives far more fragrance than the juice alone: grate it straight over the hot pasta.
