Shawarma spices
Shawarma spices season the vertical spit of the Middle East, cousin of the Turkish doner and the Greek gyros. The blend is built on cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, paprika and clove: warm spices, never fiery.
On nutrition facts, the entry gives 327 kcal per 100 g, with 12.6 g of protein, 37.8 g of carbohydrate and 27.7 g of fibre. These are the Ciqual values for the entry « Spice (average food) », as the table does not measure any blend separately.

Tips
What makes a shawarma heavy is never the spice. One tablespoon, or 6 g, provides about twenty kilocalories for 500 g of meat. The calories come from the fat on the spit, the white sauce and the bread. That is where to take action, not on the seasoning.
The homemade version changes the equation. Strips of chicken or turkey marinated in these spices with plain yoghurt and lemon, then pan-fried, give the same flavour for a fraction of the fat.
The sauce makes the difference. Replacing the white sauce with tzatziki or a garlicky lemon yoghurt saves most of the fat on the plate without taking anything away from the dish.
And the salad vegetables are not just decoration. Tomato, red onion, parsley and cabbage provide the fibre that a meat, bread and sauce sandwich completely lacks, and they fill you up.
Buying tip. Check whether salt is in the ingredients list, as with all ready-made blends in the Herbs & Spices family. It is the only variable that really changes the make-up of the dish.
