- 1 portion of bolognese sauce
- 500 ml béchamel
- 80 g grated cheese

Method

Nutritional benefits
A complete, balanced dish when made at home: protein from the meat, carbohydrate from the pasta, calcium from the béchamel and cheese. Load the bolognese with vegetables and lighten the béchamel (semi-skimmed milk) for a lighter lasagne.
Variations and substitutions
- Vegetarian (lentils or vegetables).
- With vegetables (courgettes, spinach).
- Wholewheat pasta.
- Lighter béchamel.
Storage and making ahead
Even better reheated; keeps for 3 days and can be frozen (raw or cooked). The queen of batch cooking.
💡 Good to know
Make it the day before: lasagne holds together better when cut and the flavours have time to develop.
