Ingredients

- 200 ml of milk or plant-based drink

- 1 handful of blueberries
- 1 tsp chia seeds
Method

- Pour into a bowl and top with the blueberries.
Nutritional benefits
With around 40 g of protein, this porridge supports muscle maintenance and growth, while providing complex carbohydrate from the oats for energy and recovery. The beta-glucans in oats help you stay full for longer, and blueberries bring antioxidants. It is a complete breakfast or post-workout snack, with no added sugar.
Variations and substitutions
- No protein powder: replace with skyr or fromage frais.
- Chocolatey: chocolate protein powder and 1 tsp cocoa.
- With seasonal fruit: banana, raspberries, apple.
- Overnight style (cold), prepared the evening before.
Storage and make-ahead
Reheat the next day with a little milk, or make it as a cold version the night before. Ideal to take with you as a post-sport snack.
💡 Good to know
Always add the protein powder off the heat: strong heat makes it curdle. Mix it first with a little cold liquid for a smooth texture.
